Introducing Open A/V Cloud: A New Era of Connectivity in Pro A/V

The professional A/V industry is evolving, and one of the most exciting developments is the emergence of Open A/V Cloud, a groundbreaking initiative designed to bring true interoperability and cloud connectivity to our industry.

For years, proprietary systems have limited flexibility, making integration between different brands and platforms a challenge. Open A/V Cloud changes that by establishing an open, cloud-connected ecosystem where manufacturers, integrators, and end users can collaborate seamlessly.

What Is Open A/V Cloud?
Launched in May 2025, Open A/V Cloud was founded by a coalition of leading A/V manufacturers and technology providers to break down the barriers of proprietary systems and create a more connected, customer-centric ecosystem. Founding members include Sony Electronics, Panasonic Projector & Display Americas, Legrand | AV, Shure, BrightSign, and Xyte, with HDBaseT joining as an industry partner. Over 20 contributing members have since signed on, reinforcing the industry-wide commitment to openness.

Why This Matters to You
Cross-Platform Compatibility: Open APIs allow devices and systems to communicate effortlessly, regardless of brand.
Data Transparency & Control: Users can access and export their data, ensuring full visibility and ownership.
Security & Privacy: Built with industry-leading security standards to protect your information.
Industry-Wide Collaboration: Open A/V Cloud is not owned by a single company—it’s a collective effort to improve the way we work.

This initiative represents a turning point for the A/V industry, accelerating innovation, reducing integration challenges, and creating a more flexible A/V ecosystem. If you’d like to learn more, visit (https://www.openav.cloud/).
